As I've mentioned before, Penang is a really unusual place when it comes to religion. It is a very small island and there are churches, temples, mosques, etc. all over the place. Hindus, Muslims, Christians and more all seem to coexist peacefully. All religious holidays are given equal time and you can see worship buildings of all the different religions even on the same street!
